Stuffed Venison Round

One whole venison round
Lawry’s Seasoned Salt

Prepare your favorite stuffing or purchase a package of stuffing and add celery and onion to taste.

Seam whole round to separate the top and bottom round, do not separate completely.  Slit the top and bottom round length wise, but not all the way through.  Put stuffing in the round and tie together.  The knot we show you in our video on care and processing of venison works well for this. Rub the outside of the round with the salt, pepper, Lawry’s seasoned salt and marjoram.  Bake in oven at 325 degrees for approximately three hours or until the internal temperature of the round reaches 160 degrees.  A slow cooker also works well for cooking.  Slice thin and enjoy.  Makes 6 to 8 servings.
