Easy Five Hour Stew

1 1/2 – 2 lb. beef or venison stew meat
1 medium onion, sliced
4-6 stalks celery, cut into 1″ pieces
4-6 carrots, peeled and cut into 1″ pieces
2 large potatoes, peeled and cut into 1″ pieces
1 green pepper, coarsely chopped
2 cups chopped canned tomatoes with juice
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. quick tapioca

Mix all ingredients together. Put in covered roaster or casserole and bake 5 hours at 250o F.
